Registration is now open for Delhi Hospital’s Grin & Bear It Race to be held Oct. 18 at Poverty Point Reservoir State Park.
This year, in addition to the traditional 5K, 10K, and Kid’s Half Mile Fun Run, organizers are introducing a half marathon for anyone ready for the extra challenge. No matter the distance, the event is all about coming together as a community for a cause that touches many lives.
Proceeds from the race will go to Project Pink, which provides no-cost mammograms and breast cancer screenings to uninsured and underinsured patients. With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it’s the perfect time to rally around this effort. Together, the community can help ensure that early detection remains accessible to everyone. And as everyone knows, early detection saves lives.
