Cindy Bendily
In December 1983, 12-year-old Cindy Bendily of Start was named first runner-up in the Junior Miss U.S.A. Pageant in Dallas, Texas. A Start Junior High student with hazel eyes and big dreams, she had only been competing for two years but already held dozens of crowns and trophies, including Little Miss Monroe, Miss Northeast Louisiana Jr. U.S.A., and five Miss Photogenic titles.
