If you were not at Lobrano Field Friday night, you missed an intense and exciting kickoff to start the 2025 football season.
The Mangham Dragons looking to make another deep run in Division IV for the 2025 season after losing a heartbreaker last year in the quarterfinals to South Plaquemine. Dragons returning some key players to the 2025 squad, and adding some new faces to the roster as well.
Sophomore quarterback Colby Casey completed 16 out of 22 passes with 285 yards. Senior Willie Randolph ran the ball seven times for 34 yards with one touchdown. Freshman KJ Bell received the ball six times for 109 yards and one touchdown. Sophomore Ty Wilcher received the ball four times for 69 yards.
The Dragons and Giants were in a war the whole ball game. An offensive game had everyone in the crowd on their feet. It was a playoff game environment and if you missed it, you missed an exciting game.
The Giants would go on to win this matchup in the fourth quarter 64-48.
The Dragons are back at home this week and will face Richwood at 7 p.m. on Sept. 12.
