Coach Lynn Middleton is serving as athletic director and head football coach for Rayville High School as the new season begins.
A member of the faculty and athletic staff of Rayville High School for six years, Coach Middleton brings a wealth of coaching experience and a love for the student-athletes of RHS to his new role.
Coach Middleton began his coaching career immediately after graduation from LSU in 1999 at Westdale Middle School, where he served as offensive coordinator.
He then moved north to Bastrop High School in 2000 where he coached quarterbacks and wide receivers under Coach Brad Bradshaw.
After marrying his wife, Melissa Middleton, the couple moved home to Franklin Parish. Coach Middleton began teaching and coaching at Crowville High School in 2001 where he served as offensive coordinator for three years and defensive coordinator for one year. He was then transferred to the newlyconsolidated Franklin Parish High School and served as the defensive backs coach, offensive coordinator, and defensive coordinator under various coaches from 2005-2012. He was also the head baseball coach at FPHS from 2008-2012.
Most recently, Coach Middleton has served as head baseball coach at Rayville High School from 2019-2023, head softball coach from 2023-2025, and as defensive coordinator for Coach Joseph Purvis and Coach Reginald Nelson.
