Police Report

Rayville Police Chief Markus Turner announced the Rayville Police Department has reported the following activity for Aug. 24 through Sept. 7.

Criminals arrests were made for theft, disturbing the peace by profanity, simple battery (two counts), aggravated assault, resisting arrest (two counts), unauthorized entry of a place of business, simple criminal trespass, theft by fraud (three counts), monetary instrument abuse (three counts), issuing fraudulent checks (14 counts), theft under $1,000 (two counts), possession of Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance with intent to distribute, no driver’s license, switched tags, monetary instrument abuse (three counts) careless operation, passing on a shoulder, aggravated flight, simple battery and criminal mischief (two counts).

The Rayville Police Department issued a total of 11 traffic citations this week. That number includes eight for speeding and one each for no driver’s license, no driver’s license in possession and failure to yield - school bus loading.
