Straight line winds buffeted Mangham over the weekend. Police Chief Perry Fleming said there were many reports of downed trees and large limbs but no roads were blocked or injuries reported. Fleming also got a report that one of the eagles statues at Marshall Waters Memorial had been damaged by the storm. While checking the damage, Fleming also noticed many of the flag poles lining U.S. Hwy 425 had also been flattened by the storms. “All flags were laying on ground and poles broken,” Fleming said. “I respectfully picked up the flags and took them to the office.”
