The Louisiana Department of Education has released the 2025 Louisiana Educational Assessment Program results, revealing that 35% of students statewide are performing on grade level—a figure unchanged from 2024.
While the state average remained flat, performance across Richland Parish schools presented a diverse picture of progress and ongoing challenges.
Delhi High School recorded an increase from 6% to 10% mastery across all tested subjects, marking a four-point improvement.
Delhi Middle School saw modest gains, improving by one percentage point to reach 7% mastery.
Delhi Elementary School maintained scores below the 5% threshold in core subjects, but rose to 6% when broader high school subjects were included.
Holly Ridge Elementary slipped from 36% to 34% in student mastery, a two-point drop across all categories.
Mangham Elementary, previously one of the parish’s higher-performing schools, fell from 47% to 43%, showing a four-point decline.
The data highlights persistent challenges in raising achievement levels across the district, while also recognizing pockets of improvement. With the state average stagnating for a second consecutive year, attention is now turning toward school-specific strategies aimed at bolstering student mastery in critical subjects such as English, math, and science.
Officials say more targeted interventions and community support may be essential as educators work to translate incremental gains into lasting progress.
