Back to school day slated for Richland

The energy of a new school year will be in full swing at the Rayville Civic Center on July 31, as Richland Parish hosts its annual Back-to-School Youth Career Expo and Pep Rally.

Running from 4-6:30 p.m., the event combines spirited celebration with career inspiration for local youth.

Cheerleaders and dance teams from area schools will kick things off at 4 p.m., bringing high energy to the stage and setting the tone for an evening packed with excitement and opportunity. Designed to help students discover future career paths, the expo will feature informative booths and community engagement.

Families are encouraged to attend, with meals generously provided by the Richland Parish Sheriff’s Department. Guests can also enjoy snowcones and enter for a chance to win door prizes, making the event as fun as it is educational.

Organizers stress that students should bring a parent or guardian to participate, as the event aims to create a shared experience between families and future professionals. With support from local schools and civic organizations, the Back-to-School Expo is set to fuel both motivation and connection across the parish.
