The Louisiana Housing Corporation, in partnership with Rayville Town Alderwoman Consuela Hunter, is hosting its second annual First Time Homebuyer Informational event.
The free session will be held from 6-8 p.m. July 17 at the Rayville Civic Center, located at 827 North Louisa St..
Designed to support residents taking their first step toward homeownership, the event will cover a range of topics essential to navigating the housing process. Attendees will learn about the mission of the Louisiana Housing Corporation, statewide resources, and specialized programs including Delta 100, Mortgage Revenue Bond, and Keys for Service.
Guidance on working with LHC-approved lenders and opportunities for credit counseling and homebuyer education classes will also be provided.
Alderwoman Hunter emphasized the importance of equipping residents with the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions.
“We’re bringing these resources directly to the community to help families build stability and longterm equity,” she said.
