• The second annual Juneteenth Parade will be held at 10 a.m. June 19 in Rayville, beginning and ending at the Rayville High School parking lot. • American Legion Post 122 will meet at 6 p.m. June 19 at Rhymes Library, 815 Louisa St., Rayville.
• The Alto High School Alumni Association will host a school-wide reunion and Juneteenth Celebration on June 20-21 at the Eula D. Britton Community Center in Rayville. The event includes a Meet & Greet from 6–9 p.m. on June 20 and a banquet dinner from 6–11 p.m. on June 21. Dr. Frances Staten will deliver the keynote address, sharing insights on excellence and perseverance. Paid alumni association members attend for free; nonmembers and guests pay $20 per event. The celebration will feature music, food, cultural exhibits, and special recognitions to honor history and community.
• King Solomon Baptist Church, in Holly Ridge is hosting a burger plate fundraiser on June 21. For a $7 donation, attendees will receive a meal including a burger, chips, and a drink. Orders can be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on June 21 at Greater New Bethel Church, 429 Greer Road. All proceeds support the church.
