The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced the start of a project to repair sections of LA 183 and LA 609 at the following locations LA 183: I-20 to Fortenberry Road and LA 609: I-20 to US 80.
Work on the project began on June 16. Intermittent lane closures will be used to allow for pavement patching operations on these routes. Pilot vehicles will be utilized to assist the traveling public through the work zones.
Following these initial lane closures, motorists should expect ongoing intermittent lane closures on both routes until hte project is completed during the summer.
