Rayville Police Chief Markus Turner announced the Rayville Police Department has reported the following activity for the week of May 26 through June 1.
Law enforcement officers made multiple arrests on charges including domestic abuse battery with strangulation, failure to appear (two counts), no driver’s license (two counts), speeding, identity theft, loitering, public intoxication, remaining after being forbidden and disturbing the peace.
Several juvenile offenders were charged with speeding over 50 miles per hour, no driver’s license, no license plate, careless operation, disobeying a stop sign (two counts), passing on the shoulder, reckless operation with an accident, aggravated flight from an officer, damage to property (two counts) and possession of a stolen vehicle.
Authorities cited 23 motorists for a variety of offenses, including 11 for speeding, two each for expired license plates and failure to provide proof of insurance and one each for no driver’s license in possession, disturbing the peace by loud music, failure to yield with an accident, no driver’s license, no child restraint, careless operation, no insurance and leaving the scene of an accident.
