An arrest was made Monday in connection with a shooting incident which took place May 20 in Rayville.
Richland Parish Sheriff Neal Harwell said Antijaun Miller, 22, was taken into custody by the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office as he was being released from a hospital in Alexandria on May 26.
Miller had been receiving treatment for a gunshot wound sustained on May 20 in Rayville. He is now charged with six counts of attempted first degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
No bond has been set. He will be transported to the Richland Parish Detention Center.
At approximately 8:15 p.m. on May 20, deputies from the Richland Parish Sheriff’s Offi ce and officers from the Rayville Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at the Richland Apartments, located at 316 Russell St., Rayville.
Upon arrival, officers observed four individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Three victims were transported to Richardson Medical Center for treatment. One individual declined medical attention at the scene.
