Run for the Wall stops at veteran’s cemetary

Motorcyclists with the annual Run For The Wall stopped and placed a wreath at Northeast Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery on Friday morning. This is the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War and the 35th anniversary for this ride. Run for the Wall is the largest and longest organized cross-country motorcycle ride of its kind in the world. This annual event begins in Ontario, Calif., and spans ten days, culminating at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Riders then continue on a three-day journey to the Middle East Conflicts Wall in Marseilles, Ill., completing a meaningful “Wall to Wall” tribute. The ride honors veterans, their families, prisoners of war and the missing in action. It provides a supportive atmosphere for participants to reflect and heal while raising awareness and paying tribute to those who have served and sacrificed.
