After losing the election in November, the Democrats devised a game plan to stop the implementation of President Donald Trump’s agenda. Since Democrats no longer controlled Congress or the White House, they decided to focus on the judiciary.
Consequently, 23 Democrat Attorney Generals decided to meet daily for “a thirty-minute confidential video chat to coordinate their plans for pushing back against the Trump administration.” The coordinated resistance was joined by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), and other left-wing organizations. The result has been unprecedented success in the federal courts.
For Democratic Party resistance, it helps that President Joe Biden appointed 228 judges to the federal courts, the most for a fouryear period since the administration of President Jimmy Carter. Overall, 60% of active federal district court judges have been appointed by Democrat Presidents.
