Rayville Junior High School Principal Amanda Stein was selected parish principal of the year for 2024-2025.
Stein has served in several capacities in Richland Parish Schools including assistant principal at Rayville Junior High and special education and lead teacher at Holly Ridge Elementary School. While at Holly Ridge Elementary School she also served as the SBLC chair and technology coordinator.
Stein also worked as an adjunct professor at the University of Louisiana at Monroe for three years. She won teacher of the year at Holly Ridge Elementary School in 2017 and also in 2017 she was selected as the Region 8 Technology Educator of the Year.
Stein is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a master’s of education degree in 2012 and a bachelor’s degree in 2010. She holds several certifications in educational leadership, mentor teacher, special education (mild/moderate) along with middle school and elementary education. Other certifi cations she has are IDEA Regulatory Compliance, Read 180, Eureka Math and ELA Guidebooks.
Stein is known for her vision of academic excellence, student-centered leadership, and dedication to fostering safe, inclusive learning environments.
She truly believes we have to help students grow where they are planted to make the world better for everyone.
Stein always says “every child deserves the best we have every day.”
Stein is loved by all students she works with and her love for them can be witnessed daily through her interactions with them. She is always willing to lend a helping hand wherever she can.
The RJHS staff and students are thankful for principal Stein and appreciate her dedication to our school and our students.
She is a native of West Carroll Parish and the daughter of Elizabeth Simmons and the late David Arnold of Kilbourne. She lived in Dunn for 20 years and now resides in Calhoun.
