Today, I’m proud to share a project that embodies all three values: Entergy Louisiana’s partnership with Meta to power their new Richland Parish data center. This $10 billion investment represents one of the largest economic development projects in our state’s history.
More than four million square feet in size, Meta’s Richland Parish facility will be a cornerstone of progress for Louisiana, creating 500 operational jobs and supporting over 5,000 construction jobs. The economic impact will revitalize a region that has faced challenges like population decline, offering new opportunities for residents, families and businesses.
Entergy Louisiana’s role is clear: to deliver the cutting-edge electric infrastructure required to power this facility, including building clean power generation, transmission lines and substations. But this is about more than just infrastructure. This is about laying the foundation for long-term growth, sustainability and prosperity.
