The Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office TRIAD program has rescheduled its annual Day at the Lake due to forecasted weather.
Originally set for May 1, the event will now be held Friday, May 29, at Poverty Point State Park. Activities will begin at 10 a.m.
With a 90 percent chance of rain and cooler temperatures expected, organizers said the change was made to ensure the event remains safe and enjoyable for seniors.
The event will feature live entertainment by Mike McKenzie, along with a full day of fellowship and activities for those in attendance. Organizers say the event is designed to bring the community together in a relaxed setting while offering opportunities for engagement, information sharing and connection among residents.
Local businesses and service organizations are invited to participate by setting up informational booths to share resources and services with the public.
Those interested in reserving booth space or making a contribution to help offset event costs are encouraged to contact the Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office at 318-728-2071 and ask for Deputy Tammy Spillers.
