Chris Alyea has announced his candidacy for the office of Rayville Chief of Police.
The following is his official announcement: First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the citizens of Rayville for allowing me to serve as mayor for twenty-four years. Even though I am not vying for that position, I still have the competency, drive and passion to serve this town. Therefore, I, Harry “Kayo” Lewis, announce my candidacy for the position of alderman for the Town of Rayville.
I served as an alderman for this town for sixteen years; therefore, I am fully aware of my obligations and responsibilities. I’m committed to support the mayor and to work cooperatively with fellow aldermen to ensure that common goals for this town are realized.
As former mayor of Rayville, I have first-hand knowledge of the challenges facing this administration, knowledge of pending projects and other initiatives, as well, I have a wealth of resources to share. I will be a valuable asset and positive influence for the mayor and town council.
We are poised for economic growth like never before. It is imperative that we enhance our infrastructure, ensure a safe, clean environment, provide for public safety, maintain fiscal stewardship, secure affordable housing and provide quality of life for all citizens.
It is not about me! It is about us! I’m asking for your support. Vote #62-Harry “Kayo” Lewis, a proven leader with a record of excellence and service.
