Crew Lake Methodist Church hosted a surprise birthday party for the oldest church member, Emma Jo Sullivan on March 22.
She would be 90 years old on March 23. She thought it was a church luncheon, but when she walked into the fellowship hall and they sang 'Happy Birthday,' she found her surprise.
The lunch was delicious. It featured a wonderful birthday cake decorated in white and pink with roses and ice cream and a bouquet of beautiful pink roses on the table.
Emma Jo enjoyed the food, fellowship, cards and gifts and the love of her church family.
Because she turned 90, she thinks this party idea came from Dianne Williams and help from other church members.
'Thank you to all who made a joyous occasion,' she said.
