Early voting for the May 16 election will be held May 2-9 at the Richland Parish Registrar of Voters Office in the basement of the Richland Parish Courthouse.
Voting will not be held Sunday, May 3. The north side of the courthouse will serve as the entrance for early voting.
Polls will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily during the early voting period.
Voters are required to bring identification. Acceptable forms include a Louisiana driver’s license, Louisiana special ID card, a generally recognized picture identification card with name and signature such as a passport, or a digital license through LA Wallet.
Eligible voters may also request a mail ballot. Forms are available through the Registrar of Voters Office or online at the Louisiana Secretary of State’s website.
Registrar of Voters Carol Morgan said residents are encouraged to take advantage of early voting opportunities ahead of election day.
