Mangham, Delhi track teams deliver strong performances

The 2026 Llewellyn Starks Invitational at Jonesboro-Hodge High School featured an impressive display of talent, with both Mangham and Delhi boys and girls track teams turning in strong performances, earning multiple event titles and top team finishes.

Mangham’s boys team emerged as one of the top performers of the meet, finishing second overall with 130 points, while Delhi’s boys followed with a third-place finish with 74 points. On the girls’ side, Mangham secured third place, and Delhi placed fifth overall, highlighting the strength and competitiveness of both programs.

Mangham dominated the sprint events, led by Reginald Roberson, who captured first place in the boys 100-meter dash in 11.21 seconds, and Kenneth Mitchell, who won the 200-meter dash in 22.20. Their success carried into the relays, where Mangham swept three major events, taking first place in the 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 relays, showcasing speed and strong team coordination.

Delhi answered with standout performances of its own, particularly in the hurdles. Devin Miles claimed first place in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.85, while Terrance Williams followed with a first-place finish in the 300-meter hurdles in 40.55.

In the field events, Zion Hogan added another victory for Delhi with a first-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 44-0.

Both schools also excelled in relay competition. Delhi’s boys team secured second place in the 4x100 and 4x200 relays, along with a thirdplace finish in the 4x400 relay.

On the girls’ side, Mangham continued to shine with strong performances in both track and field events. Maryann Rogers earned first place in the shot put with a throw of 32-4½, while Brodyera Hicks won the javelin with a throw of 94-9½. Mangham’s relay teams also impressed, earning second-place finishes in both the 4x100 and 4x200 relays.

Delhi’s girls contributed key highlights as well, led by Mellane Butler, who won the high jump at 4-8. La’Kendra Fletcher added a secondplace finish in the shot put, and the Delhi girls 4x400 relay team placed third, rounding out a strong overall showing.
