DCS, Mangham shine at Mangham Invitational

MANGHAM — Delhi Charter and Mangham turned in strong performances April 9 at the Mangham Invitational, with both programs producing multiple event winners and top finishes across the meet.

Delhi Charter

Delhi Charter’s girls were led by Aaliyah Fortenberry, who captured first place in the shot put with a throw of 32-03.00.

Natalie Clark added a runner-up finish in the 100-meter hurdles (19.68), while teammate Dondria Polly placed third (21.58). Naomi Clark earned a second-place finish in the 800-meter run (3:25.19).

Paityn Alexander delivered a strong showing, placing second in the 200-meter dash (27.63) and winning the high jump (4-06.00).

In relays, the Lady Gators placed fourth in the 4x200-meter relay (1:59.03), fifth in the 4x100-meter relay (56.42) and second in the 4x400meter relay (5:07.76).

In field events, Joianna Reynolds placed third in the javelin (42-04.00), while Ajaylah Williams finished fourth (39-05.00).

Angel Lampley added a second-place finish in the discus (83-07.00), and Naomi Clark placed fourth in the triple jump (28-06.50).

For the boys, Tayven Carter led the way with a dominant performance, winning both the long jump (22-09.50) and triple jump (48-08.00).

Marquis Jones added a second-place finish in the shot put (44-06.00) and placed fifth in the discus (86-05.00), while Dujuan Johnson placed sixth in the shot put (36-07.50).

On the track, the 4x200-meter relay team placed second (1:33.81), while the 4x100-meter relay finished third (45.12). The 4x800-meter relay team placed third (12:35.01).

Individually, Tae’mon Antley placed fourth in the 110-meter hurdles (20.94) and second in the pole vault (8-06.00), while James Duncan finished fifth in the 300-meter hurdles (51.48).

In distance events, TJ Bayonne placed fifth in the 1600-meter run (6:41.61) and third in the 3200-meter run (16:05.02), while Conley Chappell finished sixth in the 1600 (6:47.00).

Joshua Harris added a sixth-place finish in the high jump (5-04.00) and fifth in the long jump (19-00.00).

Mangham

Mangham’s girls delivered a strong showing, highlighted by Brodyera Hicks, who won the javelin (77-04.00) and added a third-place finish in the discus (78-05.00).

MaryAnn Rogers placed second in the shot put (29-11.75) and fourth in the discus (73-05.00), while Gabrianna Ranson added a fourth-place finish in the shot put (28-00.50).

On the track, Kenya McFarland placed fourth in the 100-meter dash (13.73) and won the 200meter dash (27.62). Louise Bell added a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash (1:13.68).

Mangham’s relay teams were competitive as well, finishing second in both the 4x200-meter relay (1:53.68) and 4x100meter relay (53.34).

In field events, Skylyn Lawson placed third in the long jump (15-11.00), while Zykoria Smith finished fourth (14-07.00). Alexcia Hicks added a third-place finish in the triple jump (32-11.00).

For the boys, Mangham turned in one of the strongest overall performances of the meet.

Kenneth Mitchell led the sprint group with a first-place finish in the 100-meter dash (11.27), followed closely by Colby Casey in third (11.55). Reginald Roberson added a first-place finish in the 200-meter dash (22.90), while La’Joshua Allen placed third (24.45).

Mangham’s relay teams dominated, winning the 4x200-meter relay (1:29.88), the 4x100meter relay (43.95) and the 4x400-meter relay (3:43.12).

In the 400-meter dash, Ty Wilcher and Rayon Bell finished first (53.15) and second (53.92), respectively.

In distance events, Brycen Owen placed third in the 1600-meter run (5:37.60), third in the 800-meter run (2:37.11) and second in the 3200-meter run (14:48.84).

In hurdles, Gabriel Arroyo placed third in the 110-meter hurdles (18.46) and second in the 300-meter hurdles (44.08). He also tied for second in the pole vault (8-06.00).

In field events, Jalen Williams won the discus (132-08.00) and placed fourth in the shot put (41-07.00), while Tyler Ausberry finished third in the discus (117-03.00).

Christian Poland placed third in the shot put (41-11.00), and Cadyn Harrison (107-08.00) and Saul Sanchez (102-08.00) finished second and fourth in the javelin.

Kylan Goods added a fourth-place finish in the high jump (5-04.00), third in the long jump (2004.50) and fourth in the triple jump (38-07.50), while Rayon Bell placed second in the triple jump (39-09.00).
