An evening of conversation, connection and community is coming to Richland Parish as local candidates and residents gather for a public forum later this month.
The Richland Parish Chamber of Commerce will host “Community & Candidates: A Richland Parish Conversation” on April 21 at the Rayville Arts Center.
The event will begin with a community networking session at 5:30 p.m., followed by a moderated panel discussion at 6 p.m. featuring candidates for mayor.
In addition to the mayoral panel, candidates for chief of police, police juror for District 3 and alderman have been invited to attend and participate in the pre-event meet-and-greet with attendees.
Event organizers say it is designed to give residents an opportunity to hear directly from those seeking public office while engaging in meaningful discussions about the future of the parish.
“All candidates have been invited to participate, and we encourage the public to come out and be part of the conversation,” the chamber said in a statement.
The forum aims to provide voters with insight into candidates’ priorities and perspectives ahead of upcoming elections, while also fostering connections between community members and local leadership.
The event is open to the public.
