The Delhi Charter Lady Gators showed both resilience and explosive offensive power during a four-game stretch from March 16–20, bouncing back from an early loss with three dominant wins fueled by a deep and productive lineup.
Delhi Charter opened the stretch March 16 with an 11-1 loss to Oak Grove. Olivia Clark accounted for the Lady Gators’ lone hit and drove in their only run, while Marlee Bonner and Shakayla Montgomery each reached base and later scored. Despite the setback, Delhi Charter showed patience at the plate and continued to compete defensively.
The Lady Gators quickly turned the page March 17, erupting for an 18-8 win over Rayville. After falling behind early, Delhi Charter responded with runs in every inning, including a seven-run fifth to seal the victory.
Bonner led the offensive charge with multiple hits, including a home run, and four RBIs.
Clark and Montgomery added key contributions at the plate, while K’Miaya Fletcher and Destiny Griffin delivered timely hits to keep the pressure on. Delhi Charter also stayed aggressive on the basepaths, with several players recording stolen bases.
The offensive momentum carried into March 19, when the Lady Gators powered past Beekman Charter 20-3. Montgomery paced the attack with a perfect 5-for-5 performance, scoring twice and driving in three runs. Clark added four hits, while Jasey Calhoun, Griffin and Fletcher contributed extrabase hits, including a triple and home runs.
In the circle, Ali Henson earned the win, allowing three runs on three hits over five innings while striking out six.
Delhi Charter capped the stretch with another dominant performance March 20, defeating Carroll 17-0. The Lady Gators exploded for 10 runs in the first inning and continued to pile on behind a balanced offensive effort.
Bonner, Montgomery, Clark and Calhoun each turned in multi-hit performances, while Henson contributed both at the plate and in the circle. She tossed a three-inning onehitter, striking out three in the shutout victory.
Across the four games, Delhi Charter showcased its offensive depth, with consistent production from Bonner, Montgomery, Clark and Fletcher, while Henson anchored the pitching staff.
After a slow start, the Lady Gators found their rhythm and will look to carry that momentum forward as the season continues.
