The Mangham Dragons 8th grade boys baseball team has completed a remarkable undefeated season, finishing with a perfect 19–0 record and cementing their place as one of the most dominant teams in recent memory.
The journey began with Levi Tillery throwing the first pitch of the season against Darbonne Woods Charter, setting the tone for what would become a historic run. Game after game, the Dragons displayed poise, talent, and determination, refusing to let any opponent stand in their way. The season came full circle with Reed Aulds delivering the final pitch in a victory over Franklin Academy, sealing the flawless record and closing out a truly unforgettable campaign.
Mangham’s success was built on a complete team effort, with standout individual performances helping power the team throughout the season. Eli Landry led the Dragons in batting average and paced the offense with an impressive five home runs. He was followed by Sage Eppinette and Reed Aulds, who each added a home run of their own.
On the mound, Zed Gwin led the team in pitching performance, facing 93 batters and recording 34 strikeouts over the course of the season. Reed Aulds also delivered strong outings, pitching to 73 batters and striking out 24.
Defensively, the Dragons were just as dominant. Behind the plate, Eli Landry anchored the team with 105 putouts, providing steady leadership and consistency at catcher.
Head coach Dusty Eppinette credited the team’s work ethic, discipline and unity as key factors behind the undefeated run. Each player contributed in meaningful ways, whether at the plate, on the mound or in the field.
An undefeated season is a rare achievement, and the Dragons’ perfect 19–0 record reflects their talent and commitment to one another. From the first pitch to the final out, this team delivered excellence.
