Chris Alyea
Chief of Police Rayville
Chris Alyea has announced his candidacy for the office of Rayville Chief of Police.
The following is his official announcement: Putting Professionalism, Accountability, and Community Trust First Rayville, Louisiana – I’m Chris Alyea, and I’m proud to announce my candidacy for Chief of Police in the upcoming election.
I was raised right here in Rayville. This is my hometown, and I’ve spent my entire career in law enforcement working to keep communities like ours safe.
I started in 2005 with the Rayville Police Department. I received formal training at the New Orleans Police Academy, and I proudly served with the Mangham Police Department.
I’m running for Chief because I believe Rayville deserves honest, fair, and professional policing. We need leadership that puts accountability and integrity first—no politics, no shortcuts, and no closed doors.
If you elect me, here’s what you can expect from my leadership:
• I will rebuild trust between our department and the community. Trust is earned through actions, not words. Every officer will be held to the highest standard, and I will lead by example.
• Safety comes first — every single day. We will focus on protecting the vulnerable, holding the guilty accountable, and treating every person with dignity and respect.
• I will support our officers with better training, modern equipment, and the respect they deserve for the difficult job they do.
• I will be visible and accessible to every citizen. My door will be open—no closed doors, no playing politics. I will listen to the people, stand for what is right, and never forget who I serve.
Leadership means putting the community first. It means listening, being honest, and doing the job the right way — every shift, every call, every report. I’ve lived here my whole life. I’ve served here. I know what Rayville needs, and I’m ready to deliver the professional leadership you can trust and the protection you deserve.
Early voting runs May 2–9. Election Day is May 16.
I’m asking for your vote. Together, we can make Rayville safer, stronger, and more united.
Thank you, Chris Alyea Candidate for Chief of Police
