Delhi Bears end three-game streak to Vinton Lions

It’s hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Delhi can now relate to.

They received a blow on Friday as they fell 72-53 to the Vinton Lions. The Bears’ defeat signaled the end of their threegame winning streak. Delhi’s loss came despite strong showings from Kamarrio Banks and Jayden Lusk. Banks dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten boards, while Lusk posted 16 points and three steals. The game was Banks’ third in a row with at least 15 points.

Jatavius Hester was another key player, putting up eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Delhi’s loss dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Vinton, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-8.
