Two Rayville High School seniors will have the opportunity to receive scholarship assistance through the William and Hannah McClain Foundation.
The foundation is accepting applications from members of the Rayville High School Class of 2026 who meet specific academic and financial criteria.
To qualify, applicants must have maintained at least a 2.8 grade point average in grades nine through 12 and must be financially disadvantaged. Students must also be accepted as full-time students at a four-year college or university, have declared a major and plan to enroll for the fall or spring semester.
Recipients must maintain at least a “B” average each semester to remain eligible for continued assistance.
Applications must include a sealed official transcript, a copy of the student’s college acceptance letter and proof of registration. Three letters of recommendation are also required — two from former teachers or counselors affirming academic promise and one merit reference supporting volunteer or extracurricular involvement.
All applications must be mailed and postmarked by April 10. Hand-delivered, emailed or faxed applications will not be accepted, and only completed applications will be considered.
