• Riverfield Academy will host a Mardi Gras Mom & Son Dance from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 28 in the Riverfield Academy new gym. The event is open to pre-K 3 through fifthgrade students. • Poverty Point World Heritage Site will host a Night Hike at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at the site in Pioneer. The two-mile guided hike will explore the natural and cultural landscape of the Indigenous people who lived at Poverty Point more than 3,000 years ago and will conclude with a bonfire and storytelling from Eastern Woodlands tribal traditions. • Riverfield Day will be held March 6 at Riverfield School. Activities will include a carnival from 3:30 to 5 p.m., a silent auction, student art and raffles beginning at 4:30 p.m., and a live auction at 6 p.m. Fried fish or chicken strip plates will be available for purchase.
