Mangham FFA members earn honors at broiler show
Mangham High School’s FFA team is Josie Mullins, Abbigail Hardie, Mark Vigil and Cohen Woodruff.

Four members of the Mangham FFA Chapter competed at the LSU State Broiler Show in Gonzales, bringing home multiple awards after two days of competition.

The students showcased their broiler projects and demonstrated their showmanship skills against competitors from across the state.

Josie Mullins earned first place in the 17 and older showmanship division and received a blue ribbon for her cockerels.

Abbigail Hardie placed second in the 17 and older showmanship division and finished 14th with her pen of cockerels.

Mark Vigil claimed fourth place in the 17 and older showmanship division and placed 11th with his pen of pullets.

Cohen Woodruff earned fourth place in the 14-year-old showmanship division and placed eighth with his pen of pullets.

Mangham FFA Chapter leaders praised the students for their preparation, dedication and poise in the show ring, noting the competition represents months of work raising and conditioning their birds.

Mangham FFA continues to build on a strong year of participation and achievement in livestock competitions across the region and state.
