Members of the Rayville Martin Luther King Society hosted a full slate of activities during the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day festivities on Jan. 19, bringing the community together in remembrance, service and celebration. Events included the MLK banquet, parade and vendors pop-up shop, with organizers extending appreciation to all participants, volunteers and attendees. Special thanks were also expressed to local businesses, churches and organizations for their time, support and contributions, as well as to caterers Colleen and Don Smith for their service during the festivities. Parade float winners were Tender Touch Nursery, first place; St. Peter Rock Baptist Church, second place; and New Beginnings Christian Ministry, third place. (More photos, Page 6.)
