The Friends of the Richland Parish Library are seeking new board members and have announced a rescheduled board meeting later this month.
According to the organization, the Friends board meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at the Rayville Library Branch.
The meeting was previously scheduled for an earlier date and has been rescheduled.
Friends of the Richland Parish Library officials said they are encouraging community members interested in supporting the local library to consider serving on the board. Board service includes community involvement, having a voice in decisions affecting the library and supporting library programs and services. Meetings are held once per quarter.
Friends members, the public and local businesses are invited to attend the meeting.
The Friends of the Richland Parish Library is a support organization dedicated to promoting and strengthening library services throughout the parish.
