Funding to improve park and landmarks in Rayville, Delhi and Mangham

Meta has donated $300,000 to the Richland Revitalization Board to support restoration and improvement projects across Richland Parish’s three municipalities of Rayville, Delhi and Mangham.

The funding will be used for a range of public park, recreation and landmark upgrades aimed at enhancing community spaces and preserving local culture. Projects identified by the Richland Revitalization Board include lighting replacement at Delhi’s baseball and softball park, renovations to the Cave Theater in Delhi, repairs to courtyards in Rayville, renovations at the Rayville Civic Center, public park upgrades in Rayville and lighting and improvements at the Mangham Recreation Complex.

Richland Revitalization Board President Sharon Gilmore said the donation will allow the board to move forward with long-planned projects throughout the parish.

“I want to extend our deepest appreciation to Meta for their generous contribution,” Gilmore said. “This funding will empower us to move forward with projects planned across Richland Parish’s three municipalities, bringing new opportunities, growth and renewed energy to our communities.”

Gilmore said the improvements are expected to have a lasting benefit for residents across the parish.

“We are excited for the positive impact these improvements will have on our citizens, and we are grateful for Meta’s partnership in building a brighter future for Richland Parish,” she said.

Meta Community Development Regional Manager Henry Thornton said the investment reflects the company’s commitment to the parish.

“At Meta, we consider the communities where we operate data centers to be our home, and we are deeply committed to the longterm success of Richland Parish,” Thornton said. “We are proud to support the Richland Revitalization Board, whose dedication to improving public spaces and preserving the unique culture of our municipalities aligns closely with our values.”

Thornton said the partnership grew out of collaboration and discussions with local leaders since Meta joined the Richland Parish community.

“Through these conversations, we learned about the Board’s goal in enhancing public facilities and driving positive change in the parish,” Thornton said. “This shared vision made the Board a natural partner for Meta, and we look forward to working together to make a lasting impact.”
