Adult education program returns

An adult education program offering free instruction toward a high school equivalency diploma is returning to Richland Parish through Louisiana Delta Community College.

“The program will provide a much needed opportunity for our community members who have yet to obtain their high school equivalency diploma,” Richland Parish Schools Assessment, Child Welfare and Attendance Supervisor Dr. Samuel Williams said.

The Louisiana Delta Community College Adult Education program offers free classes designed to help adults prepare for the high school equivalency exam, improve reading, writing and math skills and prepare for college or a new career. Classes include flexible scheduling, free support services and evening options.

An orientation and registration event is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Jan. 5, 2026, at the Rayville Arts Center. Classes are set to begin Jan. 12.

The program will be held at Rayville High School, located at 193 Hwy. 3048 in Rayville.

For more information or to register, interested participants are encouraged to attend the orientation or visit ladelta.edu.
