Emma Jean Rainwater

Funeral services for Emma Jean Rainwater, 98, of Horn Lake, MS, formerly of Rayville, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, with Bro. Charles Ellzey officiating. 

Interment will be in the Christ Church Cemetery, Bastrop, under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Jean was born November 10, 1925, in Nettleton, MS, and passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024, in Horn Lake, MS, after a lengthy illness. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rethie and Fredric Josephus Smith; husband, Willie B. Gall; daughter, Peggy Ann Manning; son, Philmore Charles Gall; brothers, Clifford Smith and Dub Smith; sisters, Gillie Mae Downs and Sally Hood; and grandson, Peter Manning.

Survivors include her son, Little Bill Gall and wife, Agnes, of Horn Lake, MS; grandchildren, Barney Robertson (Sandy), Laurel Ellis (Guy), Paul Manning (Amy), Bobbie Bailey, and Chris Lane (Marcie). Great grandchildren, Sarah Boyles (Josh), Claudia Manning (Raul), Joshua Monaghan (Melissa), Matthew Monaghan, Heather Manning and Gwen Manning; great-great grandchildren, Maddie Monaghan, Katie Monaghan, LJ Monaghan, Arthur Boyles; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Barney Robertson, Paul Manning; great grandson, Joshua Monaghan; nephews, Jeff Sanders, Guy Ellis and family friend, Tommy Canton.

Visitation will be 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2024, at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville.

In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home, Monroe.
