Chief Markus Turner and his staff would like to remind the citizens of Rayville disturbances of any kind will not be tolerated.

He stated being involved in such disturbances will result in your arrest and fines being paid.  Chief Turner stated if you are arrested for any type of disturbance, you will not be able to post a city bond. He stated you will pay the fine or post a professional bond only. Chief Turner advised the best way to avoid this is to walk away and or call the police department.

Chief Turner would also like to remind citizens that while shopping is in full swing, he has increased patrols to help deter thefts. He wants to remind shoppers to lock their vehicles and lock their homes while they are out shopping.

While the men and women in blue are out working during the holidays, Chief Turner wants them to remain visible as an added deterrent to crime. He is dedicated to keeping all citizens, along with their guests or visitors, safe.

If you see someone committing a crime, do not hesitate to call 911 or the Rayville Police Department at 318-728-4431.
