Holly Ridge Happenings

We at Bethel did enjoy our Harvest Day lunch, food, food and more love and fellowship. Looking forward to another! How great it was.

A special meal for us today: A plate of love, a bowl of peace, a spoon of hope, a fork of care and a glass of prayer. Enjoy your meal for you are under God’s care.

Coming by on Monday for a brief visit was Richard Mann from Downsville. It had been a while since he had been here.

We attended the wedding Saturday, Nov. 6, for Joshua and Ariel Graham. It was performed in the meadow on George Wilson Road. Our seating was hay bales and the decorations were awesome. Just a glimpse of what you can do with what God has given us. It was very different but it will have a lasting memory in my heart and mind.  A little sign read “Two families become one, so pick a seat, not a side.”

There was a crowd who did witness the happy occasion.

I wish them many more years of happiness.

When you have a friend that is going through a personal storm, instead of being a weatherman and spreading the news, try being an umbrella and cover them with love.

I believe we better get ready for a very cold winter. It’s going to be cold.

Happy birthday this week to Monty Hall Courtney and W. Thompson on Nov. 11, Jennifer Williams, Barbara Blaylock, Alisha Blaylock, Lindsey McMillian and LeAnn Rawls on Nov. 12, Remona Rawls on Nov. 13, Kelly Hogg, Harrison Puckett (five years old) on Nov. 16 and Sarah Green McElroy on Nov. 17. May these celebrate many more happen ones!

Anniversary wishes to Trish and Alan Thompson (54 years) on Nov. 11, Betty Jo and Tom Cullen on Nov. 12, Tammie and Shane Pittman on Nov. 16. I wish for these many more happy years together!

Our heartfelt love, sympathy and prayers go out to Mark Thomas and his entire family in the loss of their loved one, Carrie, who took her Heavenly flight. May God bless each one as she will be missed.

Have a great week.

Remember: When life gives you a hundred reasons to break down and cry, show life that you have a million reasons to smile and to be thankful.
