The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of April 8-14.

• DeQuandra Scheanette, 24; 136 A South Circle Drive, Rayville; disturbing the peace by fighting.

• Connie Clark, 49; 144 Oak St., Epps; criminal mischief.

• Kristen Philley, 25; 107 Fire Tower Road, Vicksburg; criminal mischief.

Sanctuary Quartet entertains Saints Alive

Saints Alive, a ministry of First Baptist Church, held its monthly meeting on Monday, March 25th.

Saints Alive meets during the months of September through May. Anyone 50 or over is invited to join. Membership dues are $10 per person for the year. We have delicious meals, wonderful Christian entertainment/ministry and the best fellowship ever. Come for a visit, and then if you would like to join you are most welcome. 

The meeting was opened by our President Judy Slayter. The tables were decorated in green for Saint Patrick’s Day by Mike and Beverly Jackson. 

Ag information events slated throughout area

The LSU AgCenter is hosting a trio of events in the area this month with events in Delhi and Winnsboro.

The 2019 Wheat, Oat, and Cover Crop Field Day will be held April 12 at the Macon Ridge Research Station, 212-A Macon Ridge Road, Winnsboro. 

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and field tours will begin at 9 a.m. The day will conclude with a sponsored lunch.

• Christopher Williams, 35; 402 Scott St., Rayville; disturbing the peace by fighting and simple battery.

• Latoya Harris, 32; 106 Loy St., Rayville; disturbing the peace by fighting.
