James Wesley Dawson Sr.

Funeral services for James Wesley Dawson Sr., 88,  of Mer Rouge, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the Horseshoe Baptist Church, Mer Rouge, with Bro. Bob Lonadier officiating. 

Interment was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, Oak Ridge, under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Mr. James Wesley Dawson, a retired pipe liner, was born January 26, 1930 in Mer Rouge, LA and passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018.

Allie Beth Brown

Services for Allie Beth Brown, 86, of Baskin were Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Prentis Gandy and Rev. Rick Aultman officiating. 

Burial followed in the Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Allie Beth was born on October 31, 1931 in Baskin and went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Roberta Lynn Johnson

Services for Roberta Lynn “Robbie” Ford Johnson, 58, of Monroe, were Sunday, October 14, 2018 at North Monroe Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Dye and Dr. Dexter Johnson officiating. 

Burial followed in Mulhearn Memorial Park under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville.

Robbie was born on February 14, 1960 in Shreveport and passed away on October 10, 2018 in Monroe.

Karla Jo Smith

Graveside services for Miss Karla Jo Smith, 63, of Rayville, were held at the Holly Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery Thursday, September 27, 2018.

Keith Stephens officiated.

A celebration of Karla’s life followed at the home of Dana Jackson, 955 Jagers Lane, Rayville.   

Miss Karla was born October 8, 1954 in Mansfield, LA and passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 in Rayville.

Oscar Leslie Box

Services for Oscar Leslie Box, 79 of Archibald will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Northeast LA Veteran Cemetery with Tim Johnson officiating.

Service will be under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville.

Mr. Oscar was born on June 9, 1939 in Rayville and died on October 1, 2018 in Rayville.

He loved to work, doing many different jobs after retirement. He loved his family especially his grand babies. He loved his country and showed it by serving in the U. S. Army for 20 years.
