Bettie Jo Jones Franklin

Mrs. Bettie Jo Franklin passed away Monday April 24, 2023, due to complications resulting from a fall during the Christmas holidays.

Our mother was very convinced the end of her time on this earth was here, and she was ready to meet her Lord and Savior, passing from this life to her eternal heaven. 

As a devout Christian, she is now walking with her Lord with no pain or suffering enjoying time with many of her lost friends and reuniting with her beloved family that has passed before her.

Funeral services for David E. Jackson, 66, of Rayville, were held Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the First Baptist Church, Rayville, with Dr. Eddie Wren and Bro. Johnny Hoychick officiating. 

Interment was in the Rayville Masonic Cemetery, Rayville, under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Mr. David was born March 2, 1957, in Atlanta, GA, and passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023 ,in West Monroe. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Sarah Jackson; and sister, Judy Prevost.

Iris J. Lester

Mrs. Iris J. Lester, age 96, of Delhi, was born on July 25, 1926, in Harriston, Mississippi.

She passed from this life to her heavenly home on April 12, 2023.

Graveside service honoring her life was held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Crowville Masonic Cemetery with Bernard C. Duchesne, Jr. officiating.

Iris is preceded in death by her husband R.L. (Shorty) Lester Sr.; a grandson, Ian Lester; her parents Pearl Lee Jackson and Virgie Lee McCartney Jackson; two sisters Janice Mann and Sara Nan Curtis; and three brothers, Ray, Jimmie and Terrell Jackson.

John Henry Jordan

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. John Henry Jordan, 89, of West Monroe, were held Friday, April 14, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, with Rev.  Harry Lilly officiating. 

Interment with Military Honors followed in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe.

John Henry Jordan was born on June 2, 1933, in Delhi, and went to go play his guitar for his best friend, Jesus, in West Monroe, on April 11, 2023, in the presence of family.
