Regina L. Smith

A funeral mass celebrating the life of Mrs. Regina Lucas Smith, 90, of Monroe, was held Monday September 24, 2018, at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Monroe,  with Rev. Mark Franklin officiating. 

Interment followed at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe.

Mrs. Smith died September 20, 2018, at St. Francis Medical Center.

Mrs. Smith was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She was an educator touching the life of many students over her 42 years of service in Richland Parish She graduated from the University of Pittsburg and Duquesne University, and received her Master’s plus 30. She was a member of the Louisiana Retired Teachers Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Survivors include: daughter, Lisa Ingram and husband, Randall; sons, Hank Smith and wife, Karen, Jeffrey Smith, and Jimmy Smith and wife, Donna; brother, Robert Ritter; and 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Phillip, Steven and Matthew Ingram, Ben Smith, Brandon and Steven Smith, Adam and Morgan Smith

Visitation was Sunday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
