Randolph Edmond Long Sr.

Funeral services for Randolph “Randy” Edmond Long Sr., 69, of Rayville,  will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Rayville with Dr. Eddie Wren officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Rayville Masonic Cemetery, Rayville, under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.

Randy was born January 29, 1951 in Bastrop, LA and passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 in West Monroe after a hard-fought battle with COVID-19.

Randy was a member of First Baptist Church of Rayville. Along with being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he was a mentor to a multitude of kids of all ages. From his years at Bonita High School, Delhi Charter, Riverfield Academy and countless summers at the ballpark, Randy was always willing to share his passion for his love of sports and encouragement to succeed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Audrey Long.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Long of Rayville; children, Kimberly Lord and husband, James of Rayville, Jacci Mooney and husband, Mark of Delhi, and Andy Long and wife, Devan of Rayville; stepchildren, Chandon Simms of Rayville and Meghan Dixon and husband, Brandon of Marion; grandchildren, Taylor and wife, Brittany, Mason and wife, Cassie, Hayley, Cayden, Trae, Miller, Kenzie, Mariann, Mary Ella, Maddie Joe, and Myra; great grandchildren, Brennan and Landry; and his brothers, Jimmy Long and wife, Elaine and Ronald Long and wife, Deborah; and too many other treasured and dearly loved family member to mention.

Pallbearers will be James Lord, Mark Mooney, Cayden Mooney, Chandon Simms, Trae Long, and Brandon Dixon.
