Martha Allen Pipes

A memorial service for Martha Allen Pipes will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Legion Memorial Cemetery with Brother Larry Foster officiating.

Martha Pipes was born on February 13, 1934, to Morris Allen and Lennie Allen. She passed away on March 22, 2021 at the age of 87 in St. Joseph.

Martha worked at the Department of Motor Vehicles Division in St. Joseph for approximately 35 years. While there, she was very well respected and received numerous awards.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, George Pipes; her parents, Morris Allen and Lennie Allen; her brother, James F. Allen; and her son, William R. Lansing Jr.

She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Lansing Taylor and husband, John, and Kerry Lansing Gregory and husband, Greg; one son, Morris Allen Lansing and wife, Lori; Melanie Lansing, daughter-in-law and surviving spouse of William R. Lansing Jr.; nine grandchildren, David Newman, Marti May, Melissa Hammons, John Floyd Taylor, Danielle Jones, Mitchell Lansing, Malori Lansing, Camille Lansing and Corinne Lansing; numerous great-grandchildren; extended family of George’s children, Rebecca Pipes Robinson, Georgia Pipes Lacour and husband, Steve, Debbie Pipes Wilson, Lucille Pipes; grandchildren, Shannon Jackson, Brandon Jackson, Jimmy Hendrix, Sophie Kriss, Dudley Hendrix, Abbey Campbell, Lana Ruple, Stacey Weddle, Steve Lacour, Leslie Brickey; and numerous great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home.
