Kenneth David Malone

Funeral services for Kenneth David “Malone” Malone, 54, of Winnsboro will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday August 23, 2018, in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home. 

 Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.

Ken was born October 21, 1963 to the union of James Gregory “Jim” Malone, Sr. and Doris Elaine Morris Malone and passed from this life on August 20, 2018, in Shreveport after a brave battle with cancer.

Ken was an avid hunter and was a member of the Tensas Trophy Whitetail hunting club.  Ken grew up working at the family owned business “Winnsboro Equipment” where he found his love for farming. Ken loved spending time with his beloved Rottweiler’s.

He is preceded in death by his father James Gregory “Jim” Malone, Sr.; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. JB Malone, Mr. and Mrs. OL Morris.

Ken leaves behind his wife of 18 years Collette Hopper Malone of Winnsboro; mother, Doris Elaine Malone of Winnsboro; children: Laura Terry and husband James of Ward, AR; Kerrie Malone of West Monroe; Hunter Malone of Midland, TX; Cassidy Malone of Rayville; brother James Gregory Malone, Jr. of Winnsboro; brother-in-law, Chris Hopper of Loxahatchee, FL; sister-in-law, Connie Joyce of Honolulu, HI; grandchildren: Amelia, Skylar, Tanner and Collin; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Jarrell Donnell, Joshua Donnell, Carl “Eddie Bo” Carroll, Toby Kelly, Jody Kelly, Danny Lively, Chris Hopper and Bill Marionneaux.

Honorary pallbearers will be Stan Ezell, Dewey Donnell, Albert Christmas, David Christmas and Chris Morris.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The America Cancer Society.
