Memorial services for Freddie Joe McVay Jr., 46, of Rayville, were held Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, with Pastor Douglas Kimble officiating.

Freddie was born March 19, 1975 in Monroe and passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021, in Shreveport.

Freddie is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Oneal McVay and Lillian McVay; and his maternal grandparents, Bill Cheek and Ruth Cheek.

Survivors include his son, Evan McVay; half-sister, Jamie Rogers; stepsister, Shawnda Barinsfather; stepbrother, Robert Littleton; father, Freddie McVay Sr., and stepmother, Sandy McVay; mother, Connie Cheek Burney and stepfather, Robert Burney; stepsisters, Brandy Burney and Andi Cash; stepbrother, Robert Burney Jr.; special grandmother, Eva Moorhead; and his numerous cousins and extended families.
