Summer food program slated

The Richland Parish School Board  is participating in the Summer Food Service Program.

Meals will be provided to all eligible children without charge. 

Acceptance and participating requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

Police report

The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of May 29 through June 5.

• Cedric Cooks, 26, 106 Donna St., Rayville; damage to property greater than $100 (two counts).

• Steven Webb, 44, 205 Waldorf St., Rayville; resisting arrest by flight and allowing an unlicensed driver to drive.

• Nicholas Lawson, 31, 709 Spruce St., Rayville; discharging a firearm.

• Krystal Allen, 22, 517 South Sixth St., Rayville; simple criminal trespassing and damage to property.

Police Report

The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of May 22-29.

• Kimberly Bumgarden, 26, 1345 McDonald Lane, Jena; damage to property greater than $100 (two counts) and resisting arrest (two counts).

• Zadarian Edwards, 18, 409 Rosa St., Rayville; simple battery.

• Ladasia Jackson, 26, 316 Russell St., Apt. 41, Rayville; disturbing the peace by fighting.

• Shaquille Naylor, 29, 608 Martin Luther King Drive, Rayville; simple battery.

The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of May 8-15.

• Anthony Sledge, 55, 214 Dacron St., Rayville; simple battery.

• Hamilton Tyson, 36, 230 Desiard Plaza, Apt. 112, Rayville; disturbing the peace (general), disobedience to a police officer and simple battery.

• James Marshall, 53, 19 Bunnitt Road, Rayville; harassment.

• One Juveinle was arrested for damage to property and simple battery.

• Rumika Collins, 39, 20 Vineyard Lane, Rayville; disturbing the peace (general).

• Trevion Straughter, 18, 3040 Hwy 132, Rayville; aggravated assault with a firearm (two counts) and displaying a firearm.

• Donketta Clark, 25, 109 Newsome St., Mangham; displaying a firearm.
