The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of July 17-24.

• Kevin Osteen, 22, 112 Tenth Blv. Jonesville; driving under suspension and failure to obey traffic control.

• Tabitha Jones, 29, 316 Russell St., Apt. 10, Rayville; domestic abuse battery and aggravated second degree battery

• Robert Kenly, 22, 1261 Hwy 134, Rayville; failure to appear for speeding.

• Albert Jaallen, 23, 800 Tank St., Tallulah; no driver’s license and improper lane change.

Rita Renea Antley

Funeral services for Rita Renea Antley, 59, of Delhi, were held Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville. 

Interment followed in the Harris Cemetery, Crowville.

Mrs. Rita was born April 30, 1963, in Winnsboro and passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in Monroe.

Police Report

The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of July 3-10.

• Robert Briggs, 35, 33 Plum Tree Drive, Rayville; speeding, failure to appear on speeding and no driver’s license.

• Michael Daquella, 42, 10 Oak St., West Monroe; remaining after forbidden, two counts of battery on a police officer and two counts of shoplifting.

• Niciah Williams, 19, 118 Kelsey St., Rayville; driving under suspension.

COA collecting fans for the elderly

The Richland Voluntary Council on Aging is hosting its annual fan drive.  

The fans will be used to help the elderly during these periods of extremely high heat levels.

Donations of fans or money for the Council on Aging to purchase fans can be made at the Richland Council on Aging, 414 Harrison St., Rayville, between 7:30 a.m.. and 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. and noon on Fridays.

The Delhi COA can accept donations between 9 a.m. and noon Mondays through Fridays. 

Seniors may apply at either site during the same hours.
