Saints Alive, a ministry of First Baptist Church, met for its monthly meeting Nov. 18. Saints Alive meets during the months of September through May. Anyone 50 or over is invited to join. Membership dues are $10 per person for the year. We have delicious meals, wonderful Christian entertainment/ministry and the best fellowship ever. Come for a visit, and then if you would like to join you are most welcome. 

A single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a Pioneer woman.

Shortly after 8:40 a.m. Nov. 25, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop F responded to a single-vehicle crash that occurred on Interstate 20, just west of Rayville.

The initial investigation revealed a 2007 Kia Sorrento, driven by 50-year-old Regina Watson, was traveling west on Interstate 20.  For reasons still under investigation, Watson’s vehicle veered into the median.
