The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of Feb. 2-9.

• Matthew Chaney, 29; 1522 Hwy 134, Rayville; driving under suspension.

• Brittany Triplett, 29; 1426 Cedar St., West Monroe; driving under suspension, speeding and no proof of insurance.

• Alyssa Reed, 21; 32 Plum Tree Drive, Rayville; simple assault and disturbing the peace (general).

• Randy Hunter, 44; 120 Huntington Drive, Monroe; disturbing the peace (general).

Operation Round-Up deadline slated for Feb. 28

Northeast Louisiana Power Cooperative has a program which offers grants to nonprofit organizations within NELPCO’s service area.

Local nonprofits are invited to submit applications for grants through NELPCO’s Operation Round Up. The deadline for the current grant cycle is 4:45 p.m. Feb. 28.

NELPCO launched Operation Round Up in 2016 with the purpose of having a positive impact on the community it serves.

The Rayville Police Department made the following arrests for the week of Jan. 27 through Feb. 2.

• Lemario Martinez Jr., 18; 114 Wanda St., Rayville theft less than $300.

• Glenda Jackson, 34; 19 Bunnitt Road, Rayville; stop sign, driving under suspension and failure to appear on driving under suspension

• Michael Hillis, 33; 763 Overland Stage, Rayville; license plate lights, monetary instrument abuse and driving under suspension.

• Kendrix Matthews, 31; 108 McCaa St., Rayville; driving under suspension.

• Casey Bichsel, 40; 106 Parish Farm Road, Rayville; driving under suspension.

The Rayville Police Department issued a total of nine traffic citations this week. That number includes five for speeding and one each for no insurance, expired registration, careless operation and careless operation with an accident.
